People across the country and the Commonwealth are invited to celebrate the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla over a weekend of special events on 6th - 8th May!
The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, on the 6th May and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury with the King becoming the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned there since 1066. Queen Camilla will be crowned alongside him before a huge parade back to Buckingham Palace.
Once the King and Queen have been paraded through-out London in the Golden State Coach they will retire to Buckingham Place to watch the fly-past, a great chance to see the famous Red Arrows.
The Coronation will reflect the monarch’s role today and look towards the future, while being rooted in longstanding traditions and pageantry.
The King and Queens Coronations concert will be held on Sunday 7th May at Windsor Castle. There will be 20,000 guests in the audience which include lucky ticket winners and volunteers from the Kings and Queens various charities. Head lining acts include Take That, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and many more. You can watch the concert on BBC & ITV from 8pm.
